Felix Domesticus, aka the couch puma, can be found in many parts of
Hunters Point. They are distinguishable from other felines by their
size which can range from 5 to 20 pounds, and their color, which can be
almost anything. Unlike other native felines, e.g., the bobcat, lynx,
and mountain lion, which have an intimidating low snarl, the couch puma
has a high pitched "meow" that can strike fear into the hearts of brave
men. Careful observers can usually spot them lounging on furniture -- the softer the better. They nearly always select furniture which will most show their shedding fur. The couch puma has a small defined range, usually a 200 foot radius centered on a food dish, which it will defend vigorously. Their primary food source is found in small pellets delivered in bags labeled Science Diet or Iams. Inevitably, Felix Domesticus prefers the most expensive food available.
