Board Meeting Minutes, October 14, 2008

1.   Order:

a.   The HPHOA Board Meeting was called to order by Tony Toniolli, the Board President, at 7:30 P.M. at the Toniolli residence.

3.   Reports of Association Activity:

a.   Order of Business (Tony Toniolli):

President reviewed the agenda for the meeting and reported on a burglary at 1765 Oak Hills Lane on Sunday, 12 October between 3:45 PM and 5:00 PM.  This information was placed on the HPHOA website.  Thieves broke out windows using a cinder block.  Witness put a report into the CSPD of a suspicious vehicle in the area at the approximate time of the break in.  Report included car, model, and license number of the suspicious vehicle.

b.   Secretary’s Report (John Sell):

Minutes of the September 2008 Board meeting were approved. 

c.   Treasurer’s Report (Dick Utzke)

2009 Budget Preparation will need to be addressed at the November 2008 Board Meeting.

There are no special financial assessments in effect and none are contemplated.  The financial position of the HPHOA is sound and it is expected to remain that way.

d.   Project Engineer’s Report (Frank Bluestein - ABSENT):

President reported on behalf of Frank Bluestein – Signage at tennis court and entry into valley completed.

Seal coat of parking lot and striping was completed compliments of Rich Priest (HPHOA resident at 1860 Ridge Court).  The Board will send a thank you letter.

e.   Covenants/Architectural Control Committee Report (Bill Montero):

Many cars parked at 1920 Oak Hills Drive which are breaking our covenants.  Phone call requests for painting, front door, & changing the color of the concrete driveway – All approved.

Environmental Awareness Committee were given kudos for a job well done on their walk around the neighborhood.

f.    Fire Mitigation Report (Bob Biggers):

Valley cleanout has been completed – posts put up at the entry points.  Report submitted to FireWise.

Six homeowners hired Front Range to do some fire mitigation on their properties.  Receipts are being requests to receive credit for future grant dollars.

Chipper was provided on 8 & 9 October.  38 properties had slash picked up with the chipper..  HPHOA will schedule next chipper opportunity for June 2009.

g    Web Master (Bill Donaldson)

Email project plan was submitted and approved by the Board in September.  It was announced via a newsletter for members interested to send their email to the Webmaster.

Mr. Jim Patton might also contacts residents on a one time basis to encourage email sign-up.

h.   Newsletter (Paula Tomlinson – ABSENT)

October newsletter received kudos for a great product.

i.    Welcome Committee (Nancy Winkler)

Profiles updated for newsletter of the newest neighbors.
